Here are some of the pictures from Thanksgiving this past year. Jeremy, Christy, and Yogi came for a visit. We had fun and for some of us too much fun.
For those who know about the "4-wheeler" story, enjoy the pictures of the mess. Anyone who wants to buy a 4-wheeler let us know.

Family Pictures
I wanted to take pictures this year of us and our dogs since they are our children. Talk about a nightmare! Ron warned me that is wouldn't work but, of course I don't listen very well. They are scared of my new camera and would not sit still!!!!! Finally we decided to just take a picture of the two of us ,.......guess who decides to join???? Missie, she can't stand to be left out.
Oh well maybe I can photo shop them in.

6 Years & Many More

Last weekend Ron and I celebrated 6 years together! I still can't believe we have been married that long. It seems like it was just yesterday when he ran into my butt as I was putting beer in Sam and Leslee's fridge. Who knew that it would turn into this!!!!

Fall on the Lake
We spent Saturday on Lake Mitchell with Johnathan and Charlie. The day was fun getting to hang out and catch up. We tried to fish but, had one bite the whole day. Oh well like Ron says " a bad day fishing is always better than a good day at work"! And I say "especially if you have good company with you"!!!!

Brandon Reid~ We Will Miss You~
We lost a good friend on September 16th, Brandon Reid. Brandon was killed in a head on collision while driving to work. Please pray for Brandon's wife and two children that he left behind.
This was a total shock to us all and a wake up call. Remember to always tell your love ones how much that you love them and never hold grudges. Life is way way to short to not live ever day as happy and full as you can.
We will miss you Brandon~~~ but one day we will see you again.

Concert Time

In June we went to the Toby Keith concert with Sam and Leslee. It was a very exciting concert and we had a blast! But, I do have to say it takes longer to recover from long nights like that now.

Ozan Winery
Last Saturday Ron surprised with a date. He had planned the whole thing by himself! We went to Ozan Vineyards in Calera, Al. Yes, can you believe that there is a vineyard in Alabama? There are actually a few vineyards in Alabama. This one had eight different wines that where made there. There is a peach wine that is made with the peaches from Chilton County, where we live in it. This was Ron's favorite and the only one he drank. It was a fun day we had a box lunch there and took a train ride. After it was all over we left with a FEW bottles of wine to carry home with us if you can believe it or not!
If anyone is ever near Calera, AL and wants to visit this vineyard I would highly recommend it.

Lack of Blogging
Wow, I can't believe that the last blog I posted was in May. Things are so busy with us lately that I barely have time to reply to emails. I have know been at my new job for a little over 2 months and I still love it. Even though I am only home 1/2 of the week. Most of my travels will be in Al and the panhandle of FL. That is my territory, and what a great one it is.
Ron and the pups are getting us to the change. Missie has ran off twice and returned both times. I think she was rebelling against the change around here. Hopefully, she'll stay around here and not run away again!

RAK

What is RAK you ask? It is a Random Act of Kindness. What have done lately that was a RAK?Last week I was at the mall and waiting for a parking space. Now usually I would not wait but, this was a prime space and it was raining therefore, walking far was not something I wanted to do.
The car I was waiting on took forever the lady had two children and a SUV which she had trouble driving but, that is another story. After, pulling into the parking space and getting out of my car I noticed there was a bank card on the ground. I am not sure who it belonged to but, I assumed it was the car prior to me. Immediately I called the number on the back of the card and reported it lost and destroyed it. ~What a good feeling I had afterwards. There should be more honest people in the world.~
To me this was a RAK if I would have been in the other shoe and lost my bankcard this is what I would have wanted.
Now, my challenge to each of you is to perform a RAK at least once a week. I am on a mission to perform my RAK for this week.

Mental Health Month
May is National Mental Health Month. It seems like more and more people each day are stricken with some type of mental health. When you watch the news you see more suicides and individuals taken the lives of young children.
I would like for everyone to be aware of the signs of depression. There are many types of mental health but, depression affects more people every day that what we realize.
KNOW THE SIGNS
The signs and symptoms of clinical depression are:
- Persistent sad, anxious or "empty" mood n Changes in sleep patterns
- Reduced appetite and weight loss, or increased appetite and weight gain
- Loss of pleasure and interest in once-enjoyable activities, including sex
- Restlessness, irritability
- Persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment, such as chronic pain or digestive disorders
- Difficulty concentrating at work or at school, or difficulty remembering things or making decisions
- Fatigue or loss of energy n Feeling guilty, hopeless or worthless
- Thoughts of suicide or death
If you experience five or more of these symptoms for two weeks or longer, you could have clinical depression. See a doctor or qualified mental health professional for help, right away.
